Style

Style is like an opinion. Everyone's entitled to one, but not every one can be right. Style is all about taste. Like food, everyone will like different things, and also like food, my seeing you in something questionable will probably give me an allergic reaction to your horrible taste. But seriously, some people can put an outfit together like no other. These people are usually stylists for fashion magazines and clothing stores, fashion models, or Angel from Rent.  People you wish you were, because they have the innate ability to look good in whatever the hell they can squeeze onto their bodies. No, your Instagram thread does not make you a fashion model. Now, let's get this out of the way: in no way am I saying that I have a good sense of style in terms of fashion. In fact, I probably have some very questionable taste when it comes to my outfits, as my favourite patterns are leopard and cheetah print. No, these are not the same thing, and if you need someone to descri...

My new wig!!

So I got a new wig last week, my very first lace front, and I am in love with it. Can't wait to try this lady out! I figured I would post a video showing it off, give you all (whoever you are looking at my blog) a little taste of my actual personality. This is a clip from a conversation with one of my best friends, but I love you too readers!! 😍😍😍 . Enjoy!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE4gzvchR88&feature=youtu.be Video wouldn't post on blogger, so see it on youtube! (also this is my first youtube video apparently, so there's that milestone!)

Step #8: Eyebrow coverage

Now for the fun part…the transformation!! Start by removing all stray hairs from around your eyebrows. They are pesky, and will show up through your makeup. This goes for not only your eyebrows, but any other hairs you may have on your face or body (if you’re putting makeup on your neck and chest, check your neck and chest). Proper eyebrow length and shaping guidelines. This image should (may) also be used as a guideline  for drawing on new eyebrows after erasing the face.  (photo from Making Faces by Kevyn Aucoin) If you’ve never plucked your eyebrows before, here is a good rule. Grab a brush or pencil or some other straight long tool (insert dirty thoughts here) and make a line from the outside of each nostril to the corners of your eyes (picture on left). Where the line hits your eyebrow is where your eyebrow starts (1) or ends (3). You’ll notice this is also the ‘rule’ for drawing on new eyebrows, but we’ll get to that later. If you don’...

Step #7: Prepping your body and face

Shave off that unwanted body hair… …or don’t. Really it’s up to you and your character, but most queens try to be more feminine in body type, which means, shave off all of that male body hair. Chest hair, stomach hair, facial hair, back hair, leg hair, and even down there if you really want to. I do, but then again, if you’re going to do something, might as well go all the way with it. Halfway through the hair removal process. Bye bye otter. If you’re like me, and have some fur to manage, this step might take a while.   You might want to trim your hair down to skin level first. Have a nice warm shower to soften the hairs, and follow that with a nice clean shave using lots of shaving cream. For the smoothest result, go against the grain (this means shave upwards in most cases, not downwards).   To help prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs, rinse the shaved areas afterwards with cold water.   If you’re still prone to ingrown hairs you will probably be more comf...
